Iris Liu: Asia-Pacific Director
Iris is a visionary and dynamic business
woman, highly tuned with China’s outreach of
business needs and opportunities in its
globalization process. She has successfully
created and developed the Sigma Tours company for over
10 years, with offices in Los Angeles and
several major cities in China, Sigma Tours
specializes
in business travel, professional meetings
and event planning for China’s high
government officials and business
executives, providing for their worldwide
traveling needs. Teaming with her US
counterparts with strong corporate and
entrepreneurial backgrounds, she has
co-created, and now focuses her attention
on, the expansion of her sister company
Sigma International, with offices in Los
Angeles, California; Ashland, Oregon;
Shanghai, Chongqing, and Beijing in China;
with liaison offices in Canada and Taiwan.
Iris’ strength lies in her ability to
strategically niche Sigma International to
work with medium to small size Chinese
companies in promoting business growth
opportunities, emphasizing the sectors of
professional training, higher education
certification, and cultural and
technological exchanges between China and
the US. She has developed numerous
collaborative projects in various high
priority industries of China, such as
business and science investments,
educational development, medical field
seminars, and friendship cities’ exchange
visits. A graduate of Shanghai University in
International Business with current MBA
studies in the US, Iris speaks fluent
Mandarin, Shanghainese , English and
Japanese. She now lives with her family in
both Los Angeles and Shanghai, travelling
frequently to all her offices in China and
Taiwan for business expansion opportunities. |

Patrick Sha: US Operations Director
Patrick has over 25 years of experience in
the computer profession, specializing in
Local Area/Wide Area International Network
Systems design, implementation,
problem-solving and trouble-shooting, with
comprehensive proficiency in Microsoft
applications and Novell Netware. He has
in-depth expertise in setting up
multi-national networks for large
corporations such as KLA-Tencor and
Broadvision for which he traveled
extensively throughout the Pacific Basin,
Europe and Israel to oversee IT operations
and project management with astute budgeting
successes. Patrick spearheaded technical
training programs worldwide and provided
effective leadership in team building
approaches.
A graduate in Computer Science of Louisiana
State University, Patrick had received
numerous technical certificates and wide
recognition in the IT field including professional
awards. He speaks several languages
fluently, including French, Vietnamese,
Mandarin and Cantonese. Patrick lived
and worked in Suzhou and Shanghai China for
4 years as an entrepreneur and now resides
in Los Angeles with his family. He has been
co-creating the expansion of Sigma Tours
and Sigma International with several offices
in China and widening the business network
throughout the US Pacific Northwest region.
Patrick has recently co-launched innovative
training and educational projects for
business people and students traveling from
China to the USA. |

Jacqueline Sa: Global Planning Director
Jacqueline has had over 25 years of International Business experience and
entrepreneurial ventures. She was the first woman expatriate for AT&T who
held the position of Managing Director. Jacqueline was stationed in Taiwan
and Hong Kong for offshore purchasing, working with in-country OEM’s, joint
venture companies and also manufacturers throughout China, overseeing annual
budgets for technological parts and components of over $200 millions. She also
had extensive marketing experience throughout the Pacific Basin, positioned in
key strategic roles for telecommunication projects with various government ministries.
Jacqueline is a dynamic and innovative entrepreneur after her corporate life,
having owned a high fashion image consulting business for career women, an herbal
company, and co-owned an exquisite holistic day spa in Northern California with high
profile clientele from Hollywood and nationally renowned entertainers. Jacqueline was
a graduate in Marketing and International Business from the University of Austin, Texas
and had extensive MBA studies. She speaks several languages fluently, including English,
French, both Chinese dialects of Mandarin and Cantonese. She has traveled extensively for
business throughout Europe and the Pacific Basin. She now resides in Ashland, Oregon, and
strategically works with forward -thinking businesspeople in aligning their organizations
with globalization outlook and investments, with a focus in social transformation and sustainable
environmental consciousness. |

David Wick: Global Relations Director
David is the award-winning publisher at
Silver Light Publications. He has over 30
years of management, consulting, and
organizational development experience. He
has held important positions for over 20
years with Sun Microsystems, Stanford
University, Levi Strauss and the European
Foundation for Management Development. At
Sun Microsystems David received a company
wide academy award, for his
first-of-its-kind in the Silicon Valley,
Mini-MBA Program. He has designed extensive
international training programs; and has
received accolades in both the business and
peace building arenas. He has been
responsible for corporate programs in Spain,
Hong Kong, France, India, Belgium and
Canada.
In 1983 David helped launch the United
Nations NGO, Pathways To Peace, where he
co-founded the visionary project: Peace
Within Organizations. In 1995, he began
facilitating the five-year "Inquiry into
Peace Building through Business" which has
reached phase II maturity and has now become
the Pillar of Strength for Sigma
International. David has assisted leading
edge initiatives such as the Thought Leader
Gatherings (Silicon Valley, CA), The
Presidio Dialogues (San Francisco, CA), and
co-created The Rogue Valley Wisdom Councils,
"...bringing new life to democracy" in
Southern Oregon. He resides in Ashland,
Oregon and is blazing a pioneering trail in
Oregon’s and other states’ globalization
expansion and proactive trade interest with
China. |

Irene Kai: Global Project Director
Irene is an internationally known author,
publisher, artist, speaker, and business
woman. Her book The Golden Mountain: Beyond
the American Dream received three US
national awards, and is used as a model
textbook in universities for students who
learn English as a Second Language and for
Women’s Studies. Her book is highly
respected as a cultural bridge between China
and the US. She has been a frequent guest on
radio and TV, and is a keynote speaker and
lecturer for US-China cultural exchange
topics in highly esteemed national
committees and organizations. Irene is the
President of Silver Light Publications, Inc.
Irene received a Masters of Design from the
Royal College of Art in London and was an
Instructor of Design at Penn State
University in Pennsylvania. As a very
successful African Art Importer, she
traveled extensively to countries in Africa,
the Middle East, Europe and Hong Kong and is
fluent in Chinese. Irene is a long time
supporter of peace initiatives, and her
inspiring Peace Dove image hangs in the
United Nations building in New York and is
used around the world on the International
Day of Peace. She has been a resident of
Ashland, Oregon for eleven years and loves
the environmentally protective consciousness
in this Rogue Valley Region. She is
currently filming a documentary on the
Native Americans in Oregon who are leading
changes for the planetary destiny of their
children and their tribes. Irene is also
actively establishing rapport for
Oregon-China cultural exchange interests and
business horizons. |

Peter Lee
A graduate of Electrical Engineering school
from the National Cheng Kung University in
Taiwan, Peter has had over 35 years of a
highly successful career in the electronics
industry. He had 28 years of a notable
career with Philips Electronics in Taiwan,
Holland and China, overseeing sales,
strategic marketing, product definition and
manufacturing. Peter was one of the
pioneering Managing Director of Philips in
China, setting up factories and was one of
the leaders in the most impressive
high-technology industrial park in Suzhou,
China. Philips’ monitors ranked number one
in sales in China from 1996 to 1999 during
Peter’s astute management.
Since his retirement from Philips in year
2000 and still living in Suzhou, Peter’s
wisdom and breadth of network has been very
much sought after. He is a highly esteemed
consultant for the Suzhou Science and
Technology Industry. Peter is now
participating in the executive team who is
currently formulating the innovative
Cultural Industrial Zone in Suzhou,
first-of-its kind in China. |

Risa Martyn, MBA
With over 20 years of experience, Risa Martyn is a strategic management consultant specializing in organizational development and human resource management. Working with senior and middle management in a wide range of industries (telecommunications, healthcare, financial services, government), she has helped organizations manage change at all levels of the organizations through her consulting, training, and conflic resolution work.
Recognized by the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce as an Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur; by the California State Senate for Business Excellence; and the San Francisco Office of the Mayor, Ms. Martyn has broad cross-cultural experience working with international business delegations in China, Africa, and Japan.

Cliff Lee, MBA
A graduate in Hospitality Management and International Marketing from the Honored
Society of Les Roches, a world top ranking Hotel Management University in Switzerland,
and with an MBA in Revenue Management and Executive Leadership from Cornell University,
Cliff has led outstanding careers in world renowned establishments. Living in New York,
he has worked at 60 Thompson, an elite boutique hotel whose clientele ranges from movie
stars to international dignitaries; then he played the role of Guest Relations Manager
at The Mark, a Mandarin Oriental Hotel in which he had full responsibility to formulate
and train personnel in reception procedures and etiquettes for VIP clients. Cliff also
held the position of PR/media relations, designed promotional programs and was responsible
for weekend on-duty management.
Cliff recently served as Assistant General Manager at an exclusive Gym in New York, managed
over a hundred employees of various operational functions, monitored expense budgets, created
membership loyalty programs and he was accountable for retail profitability. Cliff speaks fluent
English, Mandarin and Cantonese; had interned for Guest Reception at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel
in Hong Kong, and for the Food and Beverage Management at the Suzhou Sheraton Hotel in China. Cliff
has traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia for work and pleasure.
